Art Gallery

At Kelvin Grove we pride ourselves in fostering  a love of art and creativity throughout the school. We encourage imaginative pieces of work in two and three dimensions in a variety of media such as textiles, clay, chalk, ink, oil, pastels, watercolour, oils, poster paints, collage, charcoal, and printmaking. Wherever possible, we encourage the children to use recycled materials within their creative projects.

Kelvin Grove also takes part in the National Gallery’s ‘Take One Picture’ project each year where children from all over the UK produce cross-curricular work based around a single painting. This project goes from strength to strength each year and the children’s work is exhibited for all to see at our Take One Picture art exhibition.

As a way to showcase the artistic talents of our pupils, we are introducing an Art Gallery within  the Kelvin Grove website.  Photographs of art projects and individual pieces of work will be available to view online throughout the year and regularly updated  to reflect  topic-related work.
