Parents’ Forum

We are increasingly finding that parents at Kelvin Grove have great ideas and suggestions about how we can continue to improve our school. We want to ensure that all ideas, suggestions and feedback are shared at regular meetings of Parents’ Forum. Parents’ Forum will be held on last Thursday of every half term from 9am to 10am. There will be an open coffee morning from 9 -9.30 am for ALL parents at Kelvin Grove to meet each other and talk to their Class Reps. From 9.30 – 10am there will be a class reps meeting, with an agreed agenda, facilitated by Mrs Bryan, Deputy Head.

Aims of Parents’ Forum
  • To create dialogue between parents and the school
  • To offer constructive feedback from parents and carers within the class
  • To launch events/opportunities and ideas
  • To help with consultation when new ideas and initiatives are being developed
  • Promote parental engagement & involvement
  • Peer Support
About Class Representatives

We are looking to have a few (2/3) volunteers from every class in the school to take on the role of Class Rep and be part of the Parents’ Forum. The Role of Class Representatives will be:

  • To attend half termly meetings of the Parents’ Forum
  • To bring ideas and general issues or concerns to the Parents’ Forum
  • To support parents in your class with procedures and day-to-day organisation within the school
  • To share information from staff or teachers amongst other parents in the class.
