Kelvin Grove Primary School

Kelvin Grove
Primary School

Welcome from the chair of governors

Our aim is to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to reach their fullest potential, both academically and socially, and are part of a successful learning community that prepares them for the future.

Kelvin Grove is developing in many ways, whilst maintaining a strong ethos of care and supporting children’s overall development. Results in the key tests for pupils leaving Kelvin Grove are very strong, giving children a great platform to succeed throughout their education. As we have grown in recent years, we are providing more of the specialist support required to enable each child to thrive, whether in quickly mastering literacy and numeracy or developing more widely through our excellent sports and music. When your child excels, they will be supported and encouraged to do even better. If they find anything difficult, they will be helped to quickly catch up.

Our role as Governors is to work with the leadership team to ensure that Kelvin Grove provides an outstanding education for your child. We bring together parents, representatives of the local community and people with national expertise in education and running organisations, and use this knowledge to help set the direction for Kelvin Grove, provide practical support and hold the school to account. You will see our key aims for your child's education at Kelvin Grove detailed in our Governors' Pledge in the link to the left.

As a parent with children at Kelvin Grove I have seen how the teachers and other staff are committed to this ethos of helping every child reach their full potential and know they are benefiting from it.

I hope that you will visit us and please do contact me if you have questions.

Ben Jupp
